Life is just so... Why do we always want what we can't, or shouldn't have? What happens if we get that desired object or person? Will it be what we'd hoped for?
The Sea Gull is a slice-of-life drama set in the lush countryside where artists are plentiful, love is in the air, and jealousy and heartbreak linger. The play is rich with passion and raw emotion and explores the timeless pursuit of love, art and unrequited desire. Although it is a drama Chekhov famously described The Sea Gull as “a comedy with ...a landscape, lots of talk about literature, a little action and a ton of love.”
