UVM Department of Theatre presents the 2014 Spring Festival of Plays

The creative talents of the Department of Theatre’s Class of 2014 are showcased with the annual presentation of the Spring Festival of Plays, running Saturday and Sunday, April 26 & 27. Under the instruction of Associate Professor and Resident Director Sarah Carleton, the festival is the culmination of 4 years of training and represents the final projects of the Senior Seminar Class. This year’s festival is comprised of 7 diverse performances that include an original work written by a member of the Senior Seminar Class and 6 adaptations of works by contemporary playwrights. The pieces range from romantic comedy to hilarious farce and a wild send-up of the bard himself, William Shakespeare.

The productions are presented in 2 groups over 4 performances allowing audience members two opportunities to see each program. General admission tickets are $7.00 per group. Group A performs Saturday, April 26 at 2pm and Sunday, April 27 at 7:30 pm. Group B performs Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 27 at 2:00 pm.
